Raquel Wise was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal.

She graduated from Portugal's UAL University with a degree in media studies.

After two years working as a print journalist, she decided to follow her heart and become a photographer.

She now works as a freelance news and features photographer based in Lisbon.

Her photos have been published by the International Herald Tribune, FHM, WWD- Women's Wear Daily and the Financial Times, among several other international and Portuguese publications
